The Pereira Custom clarinet line was carefully developed in response to rising instrument prices each year. They're made to sing in symphony orchestras, pit orchestras, and bands, but can absolutely be used in marching band and other outdoor situations as well, since the materials are NOT susceptible to cracking or changing over time. This instrument was designed with the following points:
 
- The body, barrels, bell, etc., are extensively hand-finished and voiced to sound, tune, and respond at professional standards
- You have the choice of barrel/bell/extension set-up to perfectly match your sound concept
- The materials will never crack or change due to temperature or humidity factors, won't require a break-in process, and can even be used in dry/cold weather playing situations
- 2 barrel lengths come standard to provide options for different mouthpieces or different intonation scenarios
- Features an adjustable thumb rest with a neck strap loop
- The keywork and posts feature thicker silver plating, so the keys are extremely durable and not at all pliable
- Those who tend to play low F & E flat (i.e., on a Buffet R13 or similar) can have the option to have a small vent hole in the bell at no extra charge
 
Furthermore, the customer can choose between the "Traditional" Set-Up (67mm and 66mm Philadelphia barrels, Traditional extension, and custom bell) or the "Dark" Set-Up (67mm and 66mm Bold model barrels, Bold extension, and custom bell) to accommodate their sound preferences. There is no upcharge for any of the customizations!
 
The plateau-key version of Pereira Custom Bb clarinets is a vital addition to the line-up for those who struggle with closing open holes with the fingers. Those who navigate playing with arthritis or even a very young player with small hands can benefit from the closed-hole system of this instrument. The upper and lower joints are crafted from a proprietary hard rubber and feature a polycylindrical bore (R13-style with specific alterations to balance intonation for plateau key work) with undercut tone holes. Leather pads are installed, which are long-lasting and allow for a warm sound with seamless legato. All Pereira Custom Clarinets come with your choice of either 3D Blackwood or 3D Mahogany barrels/bell/extension. 3D Blackwood provides more focus, center, and "ping" or color in the sound. 3D Mahogany provides slightly more warmth and darkness of sound with a bit more flexibility in feel/response. The provided extension is optional to use. The extension is placed between the lower joint and the bell and helps focus and control the response while adding more density and core to the sound. It will also help the intonation of the twelfths between low E/F and B/C.
 
All Pereira Custom Clarinets come with a 2-year shop warranty. The 3D accessories (barrels, bell, and extension) also carry a lifetime structural warranty. There is no mouthpiece included with Pereira Custom Clarinets.
