A clarinet line that makes customized, hand-tuned instruments accessible for all players!
The Pereira Custom clarinet line was carefully developed after experiencing instrument prices rising every year. They're made to sing in symphony orchestras, pit orchestras, and bands, but can absolutely be used in marching band and other outdoor situations as well, since the materials are NOT susceptible to cracking or changing over time. This C clarinet is designed to be an affordable option that's an easy transition from Bb or A clarinet in orchestra settings, avoids transposition while reading books in the key of C, church playing, etc. I designed each instrument with the following points in mind:
- The body, barrel, bell, etc., are extensively hand-finished and voiced to sound, tune, and respond at professional standards
- You have the choice of barrel/bell/extension set-up to perfectly match your sound concept
- The materials will never crack or change due to temperature or humidity factors, require a break-in process, and can even be used in dry/cold weather playing situations
- 2 barrel lengths (46mm and 47mm) come standard to provide options for different mouthpieces or different intonation scenarios
- The bell is designed with a small vent hole to improve the low F/E and clarion B/C, notes which are notoriously flat on C Clarinets
Furthermore, the customer can choose between the "Traditional Set-Up" (2 Philadelphia barrels, Traditional extension, and custom bell) or the "Dark Set-Up" (2 R23 model barrels, Bold extension, and custom bell) to accommodate their sound preferences. There is no upcharge for any of the customizations!
The upper and lower joints are crafted from a proprietary hard rubber and feature a polycylindrical (a modified R13-style) bore with undercut tone holes. The keys on this C clarinet are nickel-plated. All Pereira Custom Clarinets come with your choice of either 3D Blackwood or 3D Mahogany barrels/bell/extension. 3D Blackwood provides more focus, center, and "ping" or color in the sound. 3D Mahogany provides slightly more warmth and darkness of sound with a bit more flexibility in the feel of the response. The extension that's provided is an optional piece. The extension is placed between the lower joint and the bell and helps focus and control the response while adding more density and core to the sound. It will also help the intonation of the twelfths between low E/F and B/C.
All Pereira Custom Clarinets come with a 2-year shop warranty. There is no mouthpiece included with Pereira Custom Clarinets.

Customers are allowed a 7-day trial for instruments from the date the package arrives. There is a 3% trial/sanitization fee per returned clarinet, which will be subtracted from the refund along with shipping costs.
